ONGOING PROJECTS OF ANMF

• Surgical management of genital prolapse in women of rural Nepal
• Training rural paramedics in speech therapy for children following cleft palate surgery
• Annual Continuing Medical Education Programs with Society of Internal Medicine of Nepal (SIMON) and others as requested (no ANMF funds are used for travel)
• Development of telemedicine for Nepal
• Canadian members are opening a sister organization in Canada (no ANMF funds used)

RECENTLY COMPLETED PROJECTS OF ANMF

• Echocardiography training in Canada for a physician at Patan Hospital
• Continuing Medical Education in Gastroenterology and Hepatology (with SIMON)
• Electrical generator for operating theater of Bhaktapur Cancer Hospital
• Training in America in renal histopathology for a technician at Bir Hospital
• Anesthesia machine for Hospital and Rehabilitation Centre for Disabled Children, Banepa
• Fund raising events in New York City and Chicago
• 9th Annual Conference of ANMF, Phoenix (June 2005)

HOW CAN YOU HELP NEPAL?

Every one of us can help Nepal in a variety of ways by contributing time for the organization, taking membership in the organization, participating in various activities, or simply attending the ANMF’s Conferences. The Board of Director’s meetings at the ANMF’s annual conferences are open to all participants, where everyone is welcome to give their ideas as to how to help Nepal. Our administrative costs have been less than 5% of our total revenues – over 95% of your contribution will go directly to programs and projects in Nepal!
