By North American standards, health care conditions in much of Nepal are abysmal. Although there are good facilities in the major towns and cities, rural areas are sorely neglected. This is compounded by the high incidence of disease, poor sanitary conditions and inadequate immunization programs.

The good news is that there is a dedicated group of well trained Nepalis working in Kathmandu and other areas of Nepal to improve not just health care delivery but medical training as well. ANMF is here to support these efforts.
