Happy New Year 2008 and greetings to you.
Thank you for your follow up email. Please find below the updates
on KFK's
Lab project in Go Jung, Rasuwa, Nepal:
- The lab space renovation progress is almost completed. We will
have it
finalized within next two weeks, by 15 January 2008.
- The procurement for lab equipment and supplies are being
initiated. We
will have it completed by the end of this month and we should be
able to
complete the lab set up by mid February 2008.
- Our lab assistant, Radha Thapa, is back in Katmandu and as
discussed
with Dr. Pratibha Pandey and Dr. Saroj Dhital, we are hoping to
provide her
a final lab orientation and training at the Kathmandu Model
Hospital for
couple of weeks. In this way, she will be fully prepared to take
up the
responsibilities in our new lab.
- As planned, the lab can still be inaugurated by mid March
2008. We
will be happy to your presence during the inauguration of the lab.
As for the renovation photographs, we have not been able to take
them due to
lack of camera. We are hoping to have one and we will try to take
up the
final picture of lab space (renovated) and during the set up of
the
necessary equipment and supplies.
