Dear Ms. Jeanne Herbert,

Greetings and thank you for your email and thank you for your support again.

It would be my pleasure to updating you periodically on the progress of the project. As we stand now:

  1. MoU signed and the cheque has been deposited in KfK bank account in Kathmandu.
  2. Lab Technician/Assistant (Mr. Radha Thapa) is in place and she is supervision the initial lab space renovation planning and procurement process.
  3. An architect, Mr. Rupak Maharjan, has visited the site and is finalizing a drawing and planned lab layout/design.
  4. The construction and renovation work will commence by November and should be over by the end of this year. We are going to use the local materials as much as we can.
  5. Procurement of lab equipment and supplies will be done as soon as the lab space is ready.
  6. I guess, we can have the lab-ready and fully functional by February and hope to have an inauguration before starting it. We would be happy to have you during the opening ceremony (maybe in February or March 2008). We should be able to confirm about the date by December only.

Thank you and best regards,

Pragati
