Funded Project - Normal Project
Training of a Pediatric Consultant in Pediatric ICU Management
Patan Hospital is a busy, 334 bedded hospital with a
very busy Pediatric service. We see and treat a wide
variety of cases, a significant number of which are
critically ill. The department is also involved in
training of Postgraduates in Pediatrics. At this stage
an acute need for establishment of a small PICU is felt.
With the help of Mr. and Mrs Simons from US, a 150
bedded Maternity ward with Special Care Nursery and NICU
is being built. At the same time, a 6 bedded PICU is
also planned. The physical structure is due to be
completed and handed over in October 2006.
We would like to send Dr. Srijana for training in PICU
management to Post Graduate Institute, Chandigarh. The
training has been arranged for the period of
July-September.
