Subject: Progress report

Dear Dr. Rai and all,

Namaste!

I am writting the progress report of the Basic Laboratory Support to the Samaj Sahakari Hospital in Bardibas.

1. Context:

The hospital is continued to serve the local people with its extended service as one orthopedic consultant (Dr. Ram Kumar Poudel) has also joined the hospital on a consultant basis. He has been regularly visiting the hospital, and also available on call. The equipments going soon to the hospital would certainly going to help us to cope with this specialized service.

Unfortunately, Dr. Ajit resigned the hospital and we have been keenly looking forward for getting another medical officer. We are very hopeful that someone from Janakpur region would be available.

The women social mobilizers have been attending the meeting of the women's group everyday, one meeting. During the meeting, the mobilizers discuss about the reproductive and sexual health, nutrition and hygiene issues.

2. Progress of Project:

We singed the MoU on 3 November, 2008 and since then we have been carrying out the market research in Kathmandu. In this time between, we have received quotations from three equipment suppliers. We plan to deliver the equipments in a month period to hospital in Bardibas once we receive approval from you. It has been difficult to get the all products supplied by one single supplier but we found these three to be providing us such service.
