Shiva Gautam is
Associate Professor of Medicine at Harvard
Medical School, and Biostatistics Director of General Clinical Research
Center (GCRC) at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center. Previously, he
was Associate Professor in the Division of Biostatistics, Department of
Preventive Medicine at Vanderbilt University. He has extensive teaching
experience and administrative experience in Nepal and is a consultant to
the Kathmandu University Medical School (KUMS), designing, developing
materials, and teaching a biostatistics course. He has successfully
applied for and administered grants. He has taught biostatistics in the
U.S. for more than 10 years and was Director of the Biostatistics
Program of the Digestive Disease Research Center at Vanderbilt
University. Dr. Gautam coordinated volunteer faculty from Vanderbilt
University to provide assistance to KUMS, shipping microscopes, slides,
and books for the medical school.
