Brendan Thomson is board certified in internal medicine, chest diseases and critical care medicine. He left private practice after twenty five years in June, 2003 to become the full time medical director of Inspiris, Arizona, a company devoted to the care of the frail elderly on nursing home campuses. He has been Chief of Staff of two hospitals and on the Board of Directors of Samaritan Health Care Systems. In 1991 he was awarded the Distinguished Public Service Award by the Maricopa County Medical Society. He is currently on the board of the Vatican Observatory where he initiated and produces the Observatory’s official calendar. He founded the Medical Society of Arizona and Nepal in 1986 which was a forerunner of ANMF. He delivered numerous medical lectures in Nepal, and arranged Arizona physicians and nurses to participate via teaching, mentoring, and delivering of health care in Nepal.
