Bill Brewster volunteered at Kathmandu University Medical School for two years as Communications Director. Drawing on his previous experience establishing new schools in both the U.S. and Asia, he was also a member of the Planning Group and coordinated the Admissions Committee. While living in Nepal, he and his wife Hillary Liss additionally helped to set up a high-altitude rescue clinic for porters in the Khumbu region. He has been a professional journalist since 1995, and is currently freelancing in Seattle.
