The America Nepal Medical Foundation is a 501(c)(3) non-profit membership organization incorporated in the state of New York. Any person subscribing to the objectives of ANMF may become a member by paying a membership fee. Members are invited to attend meetings of ANMF including the annual meeting where they elect the Board of Directors and transact other business including approving any Amendments to the Bylaws of the corporation. Members are required to register their current addresses with the Secretary.

Directors are elected to three year terms. One-third of the Board is elected each year by the Members. The Board is responsible for the overall direction of ANMF. The Board elects the Officers, including the Chairperson, the Treasurer, and the Secretary. The Board can also appoint a President and an Executive Director.

The day to day work of the Foundation is carried out by the Officers and the Committees under the guidance of the Chairperson. An Executive Committee has been empowered by the Board to carry out many of its functions between Board meetings.

The Board can also appoint other Committees to conduct the business of the Foundation. Currently committees include Annual Conference, Continuing Medical Education, Fund Raising, Membership, Projects and Website.

ANMF also benefits from the advice of an Advisory Council comprised of experts with particular knowledge of medicine and Nepal.

ANMF works closely with its sister organization, America Nepal Chikitsa Pratisthan (ANMF/Nepal), a registered NGO (non-government organization) in Nepal.
