ANMF is dedicated to building Nepal’s medical infrastructure and developing the country’s ability to be self-sustaining in the instruction and training of medical professionals. The Foundation’s first priority is education and the transfer of technical know-how to Nepal, including continuing medical education programs (CME), library materials, medical technology maintenance skills, etc. ANMF is open to any proposal that promises to strengthen Nepal's ability to deliver quality medical care to its citizens. ANMF concentrates on projects that have a "multiplier" effect. The Foundation's goal is to reduce Nepal's reliance on other countries to train and equip its medical professionals.

ANMF members and supporters have regularly volunteered to visit various healthcare institutions in Nepal to provide their expertise and to participate in various educational activities. This has also helped to develop collaborative relationships between Nepali healthcare institutions and various institutions in the USA, Canada and other countries.

Every year, ANMF provides funding support to various healthcare related projects in Nepal.

Through quarterly teleconferences and exchange of email, the members of the Board provide momentum and guidance for ANMF activities. Individual members visit Nepal throughout the year to conduct ANMF activities. We have actively presented ANMF at various local and regional forums in order to increase membership and raise funds.

The ANMF website is regularly updated to serve as a tool for our visitors, members, the ANMF Board, and institutions in Nepal seeking assistance. Information about ANMF, the health situation in Nepal, our annual meeting, finances, projects and board member bios can be accessed on the site. Medical institutions in Nepal can apply electronically for ANMF grants by filling out a brief form on the website. The ANMF Bulletin Board is a service to help match donors with requests from Nepal. Individuals are free to submit their needs and offers. Recognizing that it is cumbersome to access the internet from Nepal, the site is basic in design to enable people to open it quickly and efficiently.

ANMF has been active in an effort to enhance medical care and education in Nepal. The members of the Board have been integrally involved in the various projects and decision making throughout the year. We’ve had valuable financial support and idea input from the general membership. In fact, our projects so far have been primarily funded by membership dues and donations. All this has to do with help from supporters who have participated in the organization by becoming members, increasing awareness, donating time, and raising funds. Detailed information, financial reports, and upcoming programs can be found at About ANMF.
